This week I have been working with a group of students and teachers on the topic of performance. Jess didn’t want us to start right away because she said that is important that we get to know each other in the project because we would be working with each other for a while. So Jess got us into a circle and when we had the ball we would say our favorite food. I was open to the game because I am ok with talking in big groups. When the game finished we discussed what roles we should have in our performance, jess also got us to think about what kind of theme, topic or message we want in our performance.  I found this very difficult because I couldn’t explain my ideas that I had in my head. This resulted in myself not sharing my thoughts/ideas, but agreeing to others ideas.
I set myself a goal for the next workshop and that was to speak more in the workshop, give feedback and share my ideas.

This term and the end of term three I was put in a new maths group. When I was first in the group I found it a bit difficult. I had found it difficult because the only time that I would do maths would be in that maths workshop, over the last two weeks of term 3 I started really realising how difficult it would be. I would learn how to do maths equations and completely forget it.

So this term I started putting maths buddy practice and maths games into my planner so that I can recap on things that I need to get up to speed on and daily learn/practice maths goals and things that I learn in my maths workshops. I feel that this has definitely worked for me because in my maths workshops I am way more speedy to answer questions and things for earlier workshops. Also I am finishing my follow up that better quality and to the best of my ability.

Practicing my math daily has also made me so much better at my time’s table’s and this means a lot to me because last year and this year i have really struggled with nearly all of my time tables.

Bruce Mason Theatre

Lately we went to the Bruce Mason Theatre. When we arrived our common got split into three groups.

First my group when to the stage and we got to preform a play. In the play I performed as a witch there was a group of witch's and I was in that group. One witch in our group got picked to be the head witch. LJ got selected to be the head witch, she had to learn a few lines. LJ got to have a awesome affect on her wand where when she struck her wand at one of the children, the people that lead sound effects created a sound effect that made it sound as if LJ's wand had actually struck the children.

Once we had finished practising one of our classes groups had all ready finished the session so they came to watch our group perform. All the performers ran backstage and we got some props and witch hats, brooms and wands. we had to be super quiet so that the audience couldn't hear us. When we heard our Que we walked out onto the stage and fog started come out of the fog machine. We performed pretty well for only practising twice.

Then we moved on to the next session. In that session we watched a video about how long the building process is that the workers there have to go through. I didn't expect the process for event's in Auckland stadium and performances to take so long to build and organise.

Then in the next session we looked at how the workers there use sound by doing a performance for us. They used a variety of different sounds to create a story. We also got to put on these head peaces that played a track to us and they watched us reacted to it.

After This we had a break for lunch, I was very tired so I was happy to have this break.

After this we walked upstairs to watch a dance that these girl's did for us.In the dance the girls mainly used there arms and hands but they did also use the rest of there body. I really loved this dance because it was different but in a good way. The different objects that they used in there dance where all very intriguing in different ways. Some of the objects that they use in the dance moved. One of the objects they used was called the M-Bot, the M-Bot is similar to a segway but it's only difference is that it can be controlled with the app for M-Bot. After the dance we did some rotations using dancing and guiding the hole group with different movements in different directions. Then they played some music and we had to go over the same type of obstacles that they used in there dance to the music.

I learnt a hole lot of new important things at the Bruce mason Theatre that will be very important in the future. Overall I enjoyed being at the Bruce Mason theatre.

Immersion

This week in immersion we are surveying students on what they want in a new school playground.
On the first session we when to the coconut park and looked at the playground equipment. In the last session we talked about what questions we should have in our survey.  When we finished brain storming we drew out a table and put in our questions. Then we went around the school and surveyed 20 kids. I cant wait till our next session.

Immersion

This week in Immersion we were looking at hobsonville point and New Zealand history.  We got several photos and Helen didn't tell us what historic moment they where from. Our only clue was the photo, and the way it was photographed.

But one photo was different from the rest, it looked as if it wasn't a photo at all. In fact it was a drawing I didn't figure that out on my own because I went up to Helen and asked her about the photo. She said "Why do you think it isn't a photo". I said "I don't think it is a photo because its oddly green and all the other photos are ether black and white or normal colour.

After this Helen blue tacked the photos to the whiteboard and write up all the dates of witch the photos/drawings have been taken. Then we talked about what historic moments were the most important and most of the group agreed that they are all equaly immportant

Immersion

This week in immersion I have been doing art. For our art we took photos around the school and turned them into silhouette's. We had to make the photo filled with action. I did a handstand, this shows action.
Once we did this step
